Fr Sunil is from Colombo, Sri Lanka, seventh in the family, with four brothers and three sisters; his second elder sister is a cloistered Carmel Sister. He was ordained in 1990 and since then he has worked in several parishes in Sri Lanka. Fr Sunil served as the Secretary to two Archbishops of Colombo and as the Episcopal Vicar for Administration. He also worked as a Fidei Donum priest in Pakistan; in parishes and as a school principal. For a brief period, Fr Sunil also worked in Egypt for the Sri Lankan Catholic Community. He came to work in Australia 2021 and since then he has been working in the Campbell Town parish. For his extracurricular activities, Fr Sunil played cricket and basketball up to the highest level in Colombo district and athletics at the district level.
Fr Sunil visits the school to spend time with students and serves on the School Board.
Fr Ashan was born in Colombo, Sri Lanka. He has one younger brother, him being the eldest. He completed his Seminary studies in back in National Basilica in Kandy, Sri Lanka. Fr Ashan arrived to pursue his mission here in this beautiful island Tasmania back in 2023. He completed further seminary studies for 6 months in Corpus Christi Seminary in Melbourne. Following his studies he was placed to serve at the Cygnet parish until his Diaconate in July 2024.
Following the Ordination to Diaconate he served as a Deacon in the Mersey Leven Parish. Marking a great milestone in his life, he was ordained to Priesthood in February 2025, and was appointed as the Assistant Parish Priest to continue his ministry in Mersey Leven Parish.
Fr Ashan visits school to spend time with students and coordinates the parish-based, school-supported sacramental program.
